3D under 10s A  0  Moston Brook 4

Not as one sided as scoreline suggests, although Moston did deserve to win. We found ourselves 2 down at half time but did have passages of play that could have led to scoring opportunities if we had picked to right passes. Ben slotted well into a new role on the right hand side giving him the licence to get forward and show some trickery down the line but also helping out in defence. Keitel was as energetic as ever in front of the back two and Dan H had his best game yet making some good tackles and interceptions but the star was Pat H in goal who made a string of fine saves. We were caught with two late goals by some clinical Moston players, as we were pressing forwards to try and pull one back.

3d under 10s B   0  Heyside Juniors A 5

This was a game best forgotten. Heyside played well but the key thing was their desire for the ball and reacting quicker than we did. We played a little but only in patches and lost confidence after they scored their second goal and did not really recover. Will had a couple of long range efforts and a cheeky overhead kick that just flew over, but we did not really trouble their keeper much after that. Hopefully the boys will learn from this game that you cannot stand off and watch the opposition play as we did at times.

3D Dynamos A  0 AFC Clayton 3

A courageous effort from the lads ,especially with 3 players missing due to the half term break.
The team as a whole showed plenty of guts and kept on playing to the end.
Clayton to be fair were the better side on the day and played some neat football.
Pat and Caeth who kept goal a half each both performed well and kept the score down.
the defence of Dan H,Dan G Joe kept on tackling and blocking shoots and crosses all match.
Ben and Tom worked tirelessly in midfield and tried to feed Sam A when they could.
After the last heroic performance the lads were a little down- but not to worry next week is a another day.
thanks to all the parents and supporters .Well done Clayton and their Coaches.

All the lads were present this week which gave us a selection headache after the great display last time out.The game began started with Sam A having an early chance which there keeper saved.Ki and Tom in midfield were seeing plenty of the ball and were keeping the pressure on .Sam A came close again knocking the ball narrowly wide.
Ki and Tom were both shooting from distance but there radars were a little off.At the back Joe ,Dan G and Hesty were resolute in not giving there opponents a sniff.
Caethan in net wasn't having much to do but when asked his handling and kicking were great.
The first goal came from a corner ,played into the middle by Tom.The ball was stabbed goalwards by Sam ,it was then helped on by there defender and in.Great start.
A flowing move down the left was started with a great outball by Dan G to Sam who got to the by line and pulled the ball back to Ki only for the keeper to smother at his feet.
Ben replaced Ki and Pat replaced Hesty. The second goal scored by Ben came from another ball in from Tom,which Sam knocked on for Ben smash into the goal.2 - 0 up and well deserved.
The second half was more of the same with both Ki and Tom having good shooting chances. Cameron came on for Dan H at the back and the resulting shuffling of the team let them to allow Boundary back into the game. After that there few scares and D's saw the game out comfortably.
I would like to thank Boundary team and Manager and the Ref for a good  clean game.Cheers to the parents as well.

A cracking game, probably the best performance of the season, against a good Clayton side. The game was lively from the beginning with Clayton putting on some early pressure but Sam H, Marly and Jack Lees were standing firm but when they did break through they couldn't find a way past Jake who made some good saves. We could  have  taken the lead when Pat put Will and Callum through but the effort was pulled narrowly wide of the target.
The second half began in much the same way as the first with our defence standing firm but us having chances on the break. Will was denied in a one on one with their keeper who stood his ground and blocked well. Five minutes from the end disaster,we failed to deal with a corner and the loose ball was knocked in to put Clayton one up.
Our heads refused to drop and we were going all out for an equaliser in the last five minutes. Then with seconds remaining Pat played a ball into the box were Callum and Will were lurking and it looked like the chance had gone but a rebound fell to Will who poked the ball over the line from close range to tremendous cheers from a very vocal support.
Well done to all who played,it was a great game.

Scorer:  K Howarth

An excellent and competitive game of football ,enjoyed by players and supporters alike.

A new formation was tried by pushing Ben more into midfield and moving cameron back into defence.
The lads started brightly taking the game to Boundary and fron 15 yards Ki hit a screamer that cannoned of the inside of the post onto the keeper, who then grabed the ball befoer crossing the line.
Tom our captain for the day kept the troops moving forward and Joe and Cameron were gelling nicely at the back. Pat was again the keeper for the day and played a blinder saving a cuople of certain goals .
The lads lost two goals in the first half but it could have gone the other way. Ben, Tom and Dan G were tackling and ceating chances wich on another day may have gone in.
Tom's deliveries from corners were excellent and caused havoc in their defence.
Dan H came on for Dan G and slottted in at the back with Joe , moving Cameron more forward.
The second half began with two great passing moves which their keeper saved. The goal came when Ki pressurised the fullback .the ball broke to Ben who then played the ball forwrad to Ki who lashed the ball past their keeper.
The game was open and DanG came back on For thre ever reliable Joe. Pat was making some great saves and Tom ,Ki and Dan G all had chances at the other end.
The third goal was a deflected cross which wrong footed Pat.
All the lads performed at their best and on another day the result wpould have gone the other way.
I would like to thank the ref ,our supporters and Boundary Park
.

Moston Brook 6  3D Dynamos B 0

A disappointing result against Moston Brook but hopefully one we can learn from. We were under the cosh straight away from a strong Moston side and Jake was kept very busy throughout the game making a string of fine saves.
Marly was as tenacious as ever at the back making some good tackles and blocks as was Sam H when he came on in the second half and captain for the day Jack Lees.
Going forward Callum and Will came up against a very strong defence and we were rebuffed time and again as we got towards the Moston goal. Joe Owen,Sam A and Sam M tried hard but it was not to be today.
Tomorrow however, is another day! Some hard work in training over the next few weeks working on pressing and defending should make us stronger.

Scorers: K Howarth (A), C Faulkner (B)

The first ever derby match between the lads was a well contested and evenly fought affair.
The A team settled quickest with Ki and Tom breaking well from midfield causing Marly, Millsy and Hesty problems which they dealt with well. They were quick into the tackle and made sure they cleared the ball to safety.
Pat F was getting on the ball and endevaroured to brinf Sam A and Leesy into the game and they began creating opportunites which Jake dealt with comfortabally with good positioningin goal.
The opening goal was well taken by Ki who fired a shot past Jake after some concerted pressure from the A's in which Tom and Cameron had both gone close.
A 's held our until half time with Joe R. Ben and Dan H/ Dan gaunt all playing well ,clearing the ball ,tracking their runners and taking few risks.
Will began well in the second half ,turning defence into attack at every opportunity.Cal got the equaliser when he pounced on a claerance and rifled it into the net .giving Caethan on his debut in goal no chance.
The game was end to end with great tackles.exciting wing play.brilliant covering and trickery from all the players.
The spotrmanship between the players was excellent and the Ref had a good game.
I would like to thank John, the parents  and the players for a great mornings entertainment.

Boundary Park A  4 - 3D Dynamos  B  3
Scorers: Og, C Faulkner, P Flannagan

Great game.
Little slow in starting took the lads a while to adjust to playing on grass.
Jake had to make some great saves  to prevent early chances going in.
Will  and Sam worked hard on the flanks then were replaced by Sam Hesty and Jack Lees to give the team some fresh legs.
Sam mills and Jack Marland both had excellent games at the back as did  Pat Flannagan .
Pat equalised the opening goal with a well taken strike. The lads went 3 - 1 down early in the second half. From the restart
Calum hit a thunderbolt from just inside the half way line that went in off the underside of the bar,a contender for goal of the season already.
An Og saw D's draw level and made for a tense finish. Boundry nicked the win with a good goal. D's had a couple of late chances but just failed to draw level.
Mom - Calum Faulkner
I Would like to thank the ref and Boundary Park for a great game.

3D's A  0  Failsworth West B  6

What a pity we had to play the opening 10 minutes. The lads were 5 down at this stage. But to their credit
the lads never gave up and battled on. As they got used to the conditions, chances were created and some fine
goal keeping and wayward shooting prevented the lads gettig a well deserved goal.
Pat Howard was a Trojan in nets and Cameron Jacques never gave up trying to score.
Ben and Joe stuck to their tasks manfully while Ki, Tom and Dan competed well in the midfield.
Must say it was a pleasing performance after an unlucky start.
The ref was excellent and the other team played in a great spirit.
