22/1/2012 - League
Battyeford 3       3D Dynamos 1
Goal: Bradley McEvoy
The attitude and performance was just not good enough today. Playing the bottom placed team with zero points the 3D team had it won in their minds before they went on to the pitch and all credit to the Battyeford boys who put the 3D boys right in their place with their first three points of the season with a spirited performance.
Woeful finishing from the strikers, lacklustre defending from both midfield and defence, players playing without any desire or purpose and some lads criticising their own team mates because it wasn’t going right for themselves resulted in one of the worst ever performances we have ever witnessed for this team. This is one to keep in mind for the future boys because it is a stark reminder that if you don’t turn in the right frame of mind to compete against any team and if you don’t play and encourage each other as a team when things are not quite going to plan then there will be no feel good  factor at the end of the game to say the least.
We know that this 3D team is far better than the showing today and look forward to a good ‘team’ response for the next game.

3D Dynamos U14 P 8   Dewsbury Rangers U14 1
Goals: Ben Ford (2) Sam Bagshaw (2) Tom Ireson, Oliver Simpson, Jack Churchill, Ryan Horridge
Dynamos were in great form today from the off with some great two touch football, with Jack Churchill and Thomas Osborne conducting the play from the centre of midfield. It took time for the first goal to come though with Dewsbury resolute in defence but the door was opened when Baggy won the ball on the left and worked a one two with Ben tucking the return ball into the right hand corner of the Dewsbury net. More goals followed with Jack sending Ben through to score the second with a composed finish to the keepers left and then a great pass from George found Ossy who crossed in from the right for Ben to tuck the third into the right hand corner.  Dewsbury didn’t give up though and continued to play good football and worked hard but Harry and Oliver were strong in the centre back positions and Luke and Tommy G protected any threat from the flanks. Dewsbury did manage to find the net when the left winger got away from his marker and found their lively centre forward on the goal line to poke the ball home to take the score to 3.1 at the break.
Jack was involved in everything creative  in the second half from midfield with Ossy working hard in a defensive role and it wasn’t long before Dynamos grabbed the fifth when Baggy crossed to Tommy I at the back post  who skilfully took it  on the volley slamming the ball in the bottom corner of the net. Ryan had a personal battle against the Dewsbury keeper with the keeper pulling out four great saves before he finally grabbed the sixth from close range after a goalmouth scramble. Ryan then turned provider when Richie won the ball in midfield and slipped it to Jack who in turn sent a perfect ball to Ryan down the left and he floated a perfect cross in for  Baggy to head in the  seventh. Oliver switched to centre forward for the last six minutes and immediately got on the score sheet with a great finish at the far post after an inch perfect ball from Jack to the far post.
Great performance today guys with everyone working for each other and some great passing play. We couldn’t choose a man of the match today as it was such a great overall team performance so it was awarded to the team..
Well done lads – If we keep up the good football and attitude we can go all the way in the cup and be pressing for promotion at the end of the season.
MOM – The team

League game – 27/11/2011
3D Dynamos U14P 1  YMCA U14 3
Goal – Jack Churchill
MOM Thomas Osborne and Rylan Dickinson
Game on today on a very wet and muddy woolpack against the top team in the division with a 100 percent record this season to date.
Dynamos started well with some good football with Baggy and Tom I going close in the first five minutes before YMCA forced a corner. The resulting kick was swung in to the front post and although Will managed to get his hands to it, the ball unfortunately skewed into the goal. Dynamos continued to play some great football and carved out some more good chances with Ben going close with a volley and Baggy skimming the post with an acute shot from the left side. Oliver came on and made good space for himself on the right but the ball caught in the mud before he connected  and his shot went agonisingly wide. It was all Dynamos from there but as Dynamos continued to try to play the beautiful game in the right way, the ugly woolpack pitch cut up into a mud bath and the ball just continued to hold up in the quagmire allowing YMCA side to compete.
With ten minutes to go before half time George delivered a great cross into Ben who was taken out from the back as he went to slot the ball into the goal but the ref didn’t see it clearly and adjudged it to be a fair tackle.
Ryan Horridge came on in the second half and caused the YMCA back four problems with his pace and his endeavour and it was he who  won a penalty after being pulled down from behind when one on one with the keeper. Baggy took the penalty kick and the YMCA keeper was well beaten with the ball heading for the inside of the right upright but it dropped in the mud and then stuck on the line allowing the keeper to dive onto the ball.
Dynamos continued to press and had another penalty shout waved away when Baggy  was through on goal and was tripped from behind by the YMCA centre back before he got his shot away.
As the pitch deteriorated the game became a farce with the ball continually stuck in the mud and it became a battle in the middle of the park with Jack and Ossie working hard to try to play football. Ossie had to go off injured after being on the end of a poor tackle from a YMCA midfielder and it was to Dynamos disadvantage with YMCA scoring two more goals in the space of ten minutes to make the points safe. Dynamos didn’t let up though and two minutes before time pulled one back after Luke took the ball on the overlap from Ryan and fired a great shot to the far post which again dropped and stuck in the mud on the line before Jack followed up to take the score to 3.1 to the visitors at full time.
The boys came off the field downhearted but should feel proud of themselves for their efforts and their endeavour to play good football on a pitch which is not fit for purpose and knowing that they were the better team on the day despite the result.
Rylan took joint man of the match with Ossie – Rylan after another outstanding performance at centre half and Ossie for his outstanding tackling, strength and work rate in the centre of the park.

The Woolpack pitch was an absolute disgrace today, as it is for most of the winter months with poor drainage and poor maintenance all year round. This under 14’s team is capable of competing against any top team when we have a decent surface to play on but sadly Saddleworth is a third world area when it comes to sports facilities - Let’s hope the improvements at Churchill help to go a little way to resolve this huge problem.

League -  Sunday 20th Nov:

Oxspring U14  0 3D Dynamos U14 9
Goals: Ben Ford, Sam Bagshaw, Jack Churchill (2), George Kilgour, Thomas Osborne (2), Oliver Sinfield (2)
MOM Luke O’Reilly

Dynamos played some tremendous football today - Every player on the pitch wanted the ball, created space for themselves and their team mates when Dynamos were in possession and all supported each other to win the ball back when not in possession. Ben was first to get on the score sheet firing in from an acute angel followed by George who created space for himself in the six yard box and despatched a shot that was too hot for the Oxspring rearguard.
Jack and Tom Osborne added two more before half time and there were lots of other chances that could have doubled the tally for Dynamos.
Such was Dynamos dominance that Oxspring only managed to get into the Dynamos half on two occasions.
Half time: Oxspring 0 Dynamos 4.
The second half was played in the same vein with Rylan sweeping everything up on the half way line at centre half and skilfully maintaining possession and spreading the play. Jack and Ossie were brilliant again together in the centre midfield role and Ben and Tom I were a constant threat from the left and right flank supported by Tommy G and Luke at left and right back.
Baggy added the fifth with a shot into the top left corner giving the keeper no chance before Jack and Ossie doubled their tally with clinical strikes from the edge of the penalty area.
Oliver Simpson made his debut for the Dynamos Sunday team and soon got on the score sheet when he got on the end of a short ball in from Tommy I hitting a long range shot into the corner of the Oxspring net .
Ollie  then added the ninth when he hit a great shot against the post before showing great awareness, pouncing  onto the loose ball as it dropped free in the six yard box to complete the rout.
On the one occasion that Oxspring broke through the back four in the second half Will was on hand to produce a great one on one save to keep the clean sheet and take the game to its conclusion.
Sensational football throughout. Hard to choose between the twelve players but MOM award went to  Luke O’Reilly for a very cultured display at right back.

Well done guys you made the three Pete’s very proud!!!!!!!!

Cup 13/11/2011
Batley Pheonix U14  6    3D Dynamos U14P   7
Goals: Sam Bagshaw ( 5 ), Tom Ireson, Luke O’Reilly
MOM Sam Bagshaw.
A good competitive cup game for the neutral today but not for the managers.
Dynamos were slow out of the traps and in contrast Batley were switched on from the off with the number 13 causing all sorts of problems for the Dynamos back four and it was he who put Batley one up with five minutes gone. Dynamos played some decent football from there and had the lions share of possession but the ball didn’t seem to want to go into the Batley goal  before Batley caught Dymanos on the break again with a long ball to  the number 13 rattled in another to double the Batley lead.
Two minutes before half time Tommy G put a great ball in to Baggy who chipped the keeper to put Dynamos back in the game but some slack play in midfield seconds later allowed a ball in to the Batley number 13 who again ghosted past the 3D back four to take the game to 3-1 at half time.
Dynamos came out in the second half with a new determination and brought it back to 3-2 after George sent in a great through ball for Baggy to notch his second but again seconds after the restart the Batley  back four turned defence into attack with another long ball  to the number 13  who skilfully controlled and rounded the 3D keeper to put Batley  4-2 up.
Dynamos reshaped from there and it wasn’t long before Tom Ireson found space 20 yards out to rifle in a new lifeline for Dynamos and within minutes of the restart Dynamos found the equaliser after good work again from Tommy I and Jack sent Baggy through to notch  his hat trick.
Jack Churchill was mesmerising in midfield for Dynamos and crafted another good chance with some great footwork releasing the ball to Luke O’Reilly who slotted the ball past the Batley keeper to put dynamos into the lead for the first time in the game. George was at his best on the left side of midfield and it was he who sent another great pass through to Baggy for him to slot the ball past the Batley keeper to notch his fourth and Dynamos sixth. Thomas Osborne worked hard in centre mid and won back possession whenever Batley threatened and he played a part in the seventh goal when he released Luke on the right hand side who crossed in for Baggy to put Dynamos 7-4 up. Game over one would have thought but Batley reacted strongly and scored two goals in the last two minutes of the game to take the game to a grandstand finish.
Well done to all of the 3D team for showing the spirit, endeavour  and energy in the final fifteen minutes to send Dynamos through to the next round. MOM hard to choose with excellent performances from Ossie, Jack and  George but Sam took the award this week after working hard throughout the game to create space behind the Batley back four and for some clinical finishing.

6th November – League U14P Div 2A

Uppermill FC 1  3D Dynamos FC 4
Goals Sam Bagshaw 2, Tom Ireson, Sam Kitchen.
MOM George Kilgour

It was a  fine day for football at Churchill for the first ever, eagerly awaited Derby between 3D Dynamos and Uppermill  under 14’s, The sun was shining and the playing conditions were better than expected for this time of the year and it drew the biggest crowd of the season – about forty to fifty spectators in all.
The boys were all up for it and didn’t disappoint with both teams serving up some good football in an evenly contested first fifteen minutes. It was Dynamos who took the lead though when Ben Ford broke through and was brought down in the penalty area - Baggy stepped up to take the penalty and put away the spot kick to put Dynamos one up. Dynamos pushed forward at every opportunity but the Uppermill boys defended well and caught Dynamos on the break when Sean Bergin broke free unmarked and brought Uppermill level with a superb strike from 25 yards into the top corner of the net giving William the 3D keeper no chance at all. Dynamos continued to push forward and created some good chances before Tom Ireson dribbled his way through into the six yard box and slotted the ball into the bottom corner of the Uppermill net to restore the lead. With their tails up, Dynamos had more chances to kill off the game before the end of the first half but were foiled by some good saves from Tom Goodwin in the Uppermill goal.
Dynamos started strongly again in the second half with relentless attacking play and Uppermill again defended well but the pressure told fifteen minutes into the second half when Tommy G delivered a great cross in from the left which Baggy headed into the corner of the Uppermill net to put Dynamos 3.1 ahead. Sam Kitchen came on for the last ten minutes and made sure all the points went to Dynamos when he latched on to Rylans through pass and slotted the ball into the right hand side of the Uppermill goal - 4.1 and game over.
All the Dynamos team worked hard for the whole game today and were switched on throughout. George Kilgour took MOM with an excellent performance at right back, supporting the attacking play in the Uppermill half and defending well when required.
Full  credit to the Uppermill team who approached the game in the right spirit  and whose players worked hard for each other throughout the game and  to the Uppermill referee Chris Barlow who was spot on with all of his decisions.

30th October 2011

3D Dynamos U14P  2  Brighouse 3.
Goals: George Kilgour, Ryan Horridge.
MOM Jack Churchill.
Dynamos were without some key defensive players today but started brightly, racing into a two goal lead with well taken goals from George Kilgour and Ryan Horridge. Dynamos worked hard and had chances to increase the lead but the Brighouse keeper was on good form and his endeavour paid off for his team when  Brighouse got themselves back in the game with a well taken goal to take the score to 2.1 at the break . Harry had to come off at half time and it was one loss too many with Brighouse taking advantage of a weakened back line to equalise early into the second half.  Dynamos looked vulnerable from that point and survived a ten minute period without much possession before  reshaping  with Rylan dropping in to centre half to strengthen the back line. Dynamos looked comfortable from there  but with three minutes left conceded a soft goal which gave Brighouse all of the points and brought to an end our eight game unbeaten run in the league.

After losing two points in the last minute of the game the previous week and one this week the lads will have learnt that they need to be switched on until the end of the game if we are going to make a push for promotion this year.

3D Dynamos U14p 6 Oxspring 0
Goals: Harry Lavin, Luke O Reilly 2, Jack Churchill, Ben Ford, George Kilgour
Mom 3D Dynamos Jack Churchill

Dynamos were off the mark in the first five minutes today with a goal from Harry Lavin – bursting through from midfield and sending his shot into the top corner of the Oxbridge goal. Luke O Reilly added another two before half time getting on the end of a pinpoint  Tom Ireson cross, heading into the top corner and then in the right place at the right time to slot in after good work from Ben Ford.
Jack was excellent in midfield again winning the ball and spreading the play to cause Oxspring all sorts of problems. Ben scored the fourth after cutting in from the left and firing past the keeper and Jack added the fifth with a volley from close range from a corner kick before Tom I  completed the rout after good work from George.

Hepworth U14  4 3D Dynamos U14P 4
Goals: Ryan Horridge, Sam Bagshaw, Ben Ford, Rylan Dickenson.
MOM Thomas Osborne
Tricky conditions at Hepworth United’s Far lane ground today with the wind blowing  from one end to the other for the duration of the game. Dynamos kicked off with the swirl in their favour and had numerous good opportunities but could not convert their dominance into goals and were made to pay  when a superb pass from the Hepworth number eight dropped nicely for the right winger who smashed the ball past William in the 3D goal.
Baggy had a powerful shot brilliantly turned over by the Hepworth keeper who also saved bravely from Tom I, Ben and Ryan from close range.
Dynamos piled on the pressure though and good work from Tommy I, Baggy and Ben  created a good opportunity for Ryan who tucked the ball into the left side of the Hepworth goal.
Baggy added the second just before half time to give Dynamos a slender advantage at the break.
Hepworth were level within five minutes of the break as Dynamos struggled to deal with the windy conditions and soon went behind as they failed to hold possession in midfield and up front. Dynamos reshaped with Rylan, George and Tom I taking up positions and working hard in midfield and the change paid off when George won the ball in midfield and sent Ben through who beat his man with his superior pace and slotted the ball into the bottom right hand side of the goal. Despite the conditions Dynamos had the lion’s share of the possession from there and soon found themselves ahead when Rylan scored a superb volley from a Tom Osborne free kick. Dynamos had several chances from there to kill of the game but the Hepworth keeper was in good form in the second half to keep the boys at bay and Dynamos paid the price when Hepworth managed to grab an equaliser after a mad goalmouth scramble in ‘Fergie’ time.
The boys fought hard today, played some great football and showed real spirit  in poor conditions which didn’t suit our style of play. With a little more fortune would have easily taken all three points.

League September 25th
Dewsbury Rangers U14   2            3 D Dynamos U14P  10
Ryan Horridge 3, Sam Bagshaw, Jack Churchill 3, Tom Ireson, Ben Ford, Tom Gallagher.
MOM Jack Churchill
Dynamos were on top right from the off today with Ryan, Baggy and Ben forcing some good saves from  the Dewsbury keeper. It wasn’t long though before Ryan’s pace took him past the Dewsbury back line to fire Dynamos into the lead. Rylan and Tom I worked hard in midfield with Luke and Ben threatening on the right and left wing and it wasn’t long before baggy got the second with a looping header over the keeper.
Dewsbury got one back when the team decided to have a little Siesta to take the score at the break to 2.1.
Dynamos dominated the second half and Jack Churchill was magnificent in centre midfield helping himself to a hat trick and creating goals for Tom I and a further two for Ryan to complete his hat trick.
Tommy G got on the score sheet with a great header from a corner and  Ben added another to complete the rout.
Dewsbury to their credit kept fighting and forced a second goal towards the end of the game.
Well done guys let’s keep up the good work.
Thanks to Jack for volunteering to go in goal in the first Half and to Bradley for the second.
MOM went to Jack Churchill after a steady first half in goal and a superb second half performance in centre mid.

3D Dynamos U14P  4   Lepton U14 1
Goals Sam Bagshaw 2, Ben Ford, Tom Ireson
Dynamos started the game well on a  sticky pitch today and were ahead within the first five minutes after a  searching  through ball from Ossy found Baggy who carried the ball from the half way line and slotted it past the oncoming keeper. Five minutes later George sent a pass down the line for Tom Ireson who took the ball down the right and sent a perfect cross in for  to Baggy to notch the second. Dynamos played some great football from there and could have been four up but for two great saves from the Lepton keeper. Ossy and Harry Lavin worked hard down the middle complemented by some good wing work and defensive support from Ben and Tommy I. Rylan , Jack, Tom G and George defended well but Lepton didn’t give in and battled hard forcing a couple of good chances before  William Wilson in the Dynamos goal was called on to produce a great one on one save from the lively Lepton centre forward.
Lepton pressed hard  in the second half but Dynamos responded well and worked their socks off all over the pitch to protect the two goal advantage and soon notched a third after good work from Ryan on the right found Ben who smashed the ball into the top corner of the Lepton goal.
Lepton pulled one back in the last ten minutes though and again fought hard to get back in the game but Dynamos made sure of  the points after a superb jinking run and finish by Tom Ireson.
Great performances all round today so it was a men of the match award today which went to three players who gave exceptional performances:
Rylan, Tom Ireson and Jack Churchill

Howden Clough 1  3D Dynamo U14P 1
League – 11/9/2011
Goal: Harry Lavin
Dynamos dominated the first twenty minutes with some good play down the left and right flanks but Howden Clough held tight with some good strong defending. Rylan went close with a long range shot from centre midfield before  George was denied by a fine save from the Howden Clough keeper. Dynamos could not convert their superior possession  to goals though and nearly paid the price when Howden hit Dynamos on the break and bringing  a fine save from 3D keeper William. Harry Lavin then put Dynamos ahead with a superb  long range looping shot over the keeper and at 1.0 Dynamos looked firmly in control.
In the second half the lions share of possession swung to Howden who won a lot of ball in the centre of midfield and the Dynamos defence had to work hard to retain the advantage.
Luke brought a  good save from the Howden Clough keeper with fifteen minutes left but the play switched quickly to the other end of the pitch with Howden finding the equaliser with a defence splitting ball to the  Howden centre forward who drilled the ball into the Dynamo goal.
Sam Kitchen brought another good save from the Howden Clough keeper within minutes of his introduction and the last ten minutes of the game saw end to end action but without any further goals to earn both teams a well-deserved point.
Well done boys – We worked hard to regain possession today in all areas and competed hard against a big physical side.
MOM Tom Ireson after an excellent disciplined performance at right back.

8.5.2011 league
Silkstone United 0   3D Dynamos P 10
Goals: Tom Ireson (3) Jack Churchill, George Kilgour, Sam Bagshaw, Thomas Osborne (2), Ben Ford, Richard Kiy,
Dynamos started slowly but soon found their scoring boots after Tom Ireson jinked past the Silkstone right back to slot into the net. The goals flowed from that point with Tom I notching his hat trick and Tom Osborne a brace whilst the defence held out throughout the game to keep a clean sheet. It was a great performance from all to end the season.
Man of the match went to Richard Kiy who defended well throughout and then capped off a great game with a good goal when switched to a forward position late on in the game. Well done Rich.
It has been a competitive division at the top with any one of six teams capable of winning the league. We were left to reflect on six points that we conceded early in the season when we were left with a weak side due to injuries and holidays against  Wakefield and then at  Barugh where we were 2.1 to the good with five minutes to go and went on to lose the game.
On the positive side the team have grown in strength and gelled together more as a team and have played some great football this season - we started with a weaker squad of 12 players and have finished with a strong squad of 16 players who are ready to push on for promotion next season.
Well done guys – keep the faith , onwards and upwards.

1.5.2011 League
3D Dynamos P 5   Howden Clough 4
Goals: Sam Bagshaw, Jack Churchill (2), Tom Ireson (2)
A good competitive game saw Dynamos take the lead with a good cross in from Tommy G and a superb first touch from Tommy I to put the ball just in the ideal position to slot past the keeper.
Howden Clough came with a determined attitude though and scored two good goals to take the score to 2.1. Dynamos stepped up the pace and soon found themselves level with a Jack Churchill volley from a corner kick and then went 3.2 up with a long range shot from Baggy who found the top corner of the Howden goal. Jack Churchill made it 4.2 and it was looking comfortable from there but Howden Clough hit two late on to bring the game level. Just as the game was heading for a draw another good cross from Tommy G found Tommy I at the back post to fire in a match winning volley.
Great team spirit today guys – determination and good attitude throughout.
Man of the match went to Jack Churchill who worked his socks off for the team and scored two great goals.

League – 3/4/2011
3D Dynamos U13P 7  Ossett Albion 0
Sam Bagshaw 3, Tom Ireson, George Kilgour, Harry Lavin, Jack Churchill.
MOM George Kilgour and William Wilson
Dynamos played some great football again today with George Kilgour in inspired form linking up a lot of the forward play however they started slowly and could have gone behind after ten minutes but for a superb save by goalkeeper William Wilson who was sharp from the kick off today and determined to keep a clean sheet. Throughout the game Will also made some good decisions early and cleared anything that dropped between him and the defenders.
Baggy scored the first for Dynamos with a penalty after his goal bound shot produced a great save from an Ossett defenders outstretched hand.
Rylan and Harry were dominant in midfield and Ben and Tom I were a threat down the flanks creating lots of opportunities in the final third. Ben hit the bar and several chances went agonisingly wide before Baggy added a second when Ben slid through a pass for him to run on to and slip the ball past the oncoming keeper.  George scored the third for Dynamos with a powerful strike from 20 yards into the top corner of the Ossett goal after receiving a nice through pass from Tom I.
HT 3 D Dynamos 3 Ossett 0
Dynamos were rampant in the second half and Harry Lavin added the fourth after carrying the ball 20 yards and slotting it to the keepers right and Tom I added the fifth with a mazy run through the Ossett defence and a nice finish into the right corner of the net. Jack Churchill got on the score sheet with a super strike from outside of the penalty area and Baggy notched his hat trick when he got onto the end of another great ball in from George.
All credit to Ossett who played some nice football throughout the game and did not let their heads drop throughout.
MOM today went to George Kilgour who got the ball under control, saw the pass early and was involved in the play preceding five of the seven goals and to William Wilson who was alert at the start and throughout the game despite not seeing a great deal of the ball.
Well done lads – keep up the good work.

27/03/2011

3D Dynamos U13P 1 Hepworth 6
Goal Sam Bagshaw
MOM Tom McClusk
y
With five players missing today Dynamos would have needed a good spirit throughout the team to overcome a well organised Hepworth side. Sadly there were only four or five Dynamos players who had a positive attitude towards the game today and who were willing to run and work for each other.
Enough said – we can only be glad that the clocks only go forward once a year if this is how it effects the performance.
Let’s forget this week and get back to business next week guys.

20/3/2011 League.
3D Dynamos U13P 13  Battyeford 3
Goals: Ben Ford 3, Rylan Dickenson 2, Tom Gallagher 2, Harry Lavin 2,  Tom Ireson, Sam Bagshaw, Bradley McvEvoy, Tom McClusky.
Dynamos were on fire today and played some great pass and move football throughout the team which poor Battyeford could not live with.
There were a lot of goals scored for Dynamos but the one that brought the biggest cheer was Tom Gallagher’s first league goal since moving to 11 a side football, followed by a well deserved second before a good save from the Battyeford goalkeeper foiled a possible hat trick.
Battyeford played some good football down the left side in stages and scored three good goals but could not defend against the pace of football served up by Dynamos today.
The team really Gelled today, worked hard for each other throughout the game and kept their shape for the duration. Special  praise for Alex Carter today who defended superbly when called upon and didn’t let the rear guard drop despite the team leading by such a high score from an early point in the game.
Well done guys – Lets keep it up.
MOM Tommy G with a swashbuckling performance in a unfamiliar central midfield role.

League game 13/3/2011
3D Dynamos U13P 5 Lepton Highlanders 4
Goals: Ben Ford, Rylan Dickenson 2, Luke O'Reilly, George Kilgour

Dynamos started slowly today and were two goals down in the first ten minutes and were struggling to get a grip on the game on a boggy, unforgiving Churchill pitch. A change of tactics with Thomas Osborne taking up a holding midfield role steadied Dynamos though, who then began to dominate the possession and put Lepton on the back foot. It soon paid off when Tommy I found George who despatched the ball firmly into the left corner of the Lepton  goal. It was all Dynamos from there and the equaliser soon came when Rylan controlled the ball from a Baggy corner and rifled it into the Lepton net.
Dynamos took the lead when Ozzy found Rylan in space again and he carried the ball twenty yards past the Lepton centre half and smashed his shot past the approaching keeper.
Lepton couldn’t get the ball for the rest of the half as Dynamos dominated the play to go into half time 3. 2 up and in control.
The second half started in the same vein with Dynamos working hard as Churchill turned into a quagmire. Ben Ford scored Dynamos fourth with a neat header from Tommy I’s  cross and some people thought it was all over but Lepton came back into the game as Dynamos lost their discipline at the back and the big centre forward took advantage with a good goal and an assist to an unmarked player to put Lepton on level terms.
As the legs tired Harry Lavin and Luke O’Reilly were introduced and it was some good linking play between the two in the last two minutes which created a chance for Luke and he neatly slotted the ball to the keepers left to take all three points.
On reflection Dynamos deserved to win the game for the football that they continued to play in the poor conditions but they must learn to keep the discipline at the back at all times if we are to progress.
MOM George Kilgour who played some good football on the right and worked hard from start to finish.

6th March 2011

Honley U13 4     3D Dynamos 1
Goal: Sam Bagshaw
MOM Tom Gallagher
Dynamos started well today at Meltham Road Rec and had all the possession on a in the first half but Honley defended well and restricted Dynamos to only two or three shots on goal. George went close in the first five minutes when Rylan sent in a defence splitting pass, but the ball bobbled unkindly on the uneven surface  and his shot went agonisingly wide. Dynamos played some great football with Rylan and Jack working hard in the middle of midfield and Ben Ford and Tommy Ireson threatening down the flanks and the pressure paid off for Dynamos  when George produced a nice lay off to Baggy and he curled his shot into the top corner of the Honley goal from twenty yards out.
Half Time  Honley 0 3D Dynamos 1
After dominating the first half - the second was one to forget for 3D’s, conceding three soft goals after failing to clear their lines.
Once going behind we stopped working for each other as a team and gave the ball away far too many times to mention.
Some good performances in the first half but Tommy G took the man of the match award with a great performance for the whole of the game.

13th Feb 2011
3d Dynamos 0    Halifax Irish 7
With two key players missing it was always going to be difficult today as the appalling conditions favoured the more physically developed side. With the wind Howling towards one end  of the pitch,  Dynamos were not able to move the ball about as well as they did in the previous meeting with the ball sticking in the boggy conditions and holding up in the wind  allowing the stronger Halifax team to dominate the play in the middle of the park and at the back. Dynamos to their credit though continued to try to play good football throughout the game against all the odds but gave away four soft goals in a game that was closer than the score line suggested. All credit to the Halifax Irish team though who are one of the best sides we have come across since moving to 11 a side games.
Well done 3 D’s  - keep the faith as we will not have to endure those conditions too many more times before the end of the season.
MOM Tom Osborne who matched the strength of the Halifax lads with a determined steely performance.

30TH Jan 2011
Halifax Irish 3    3 D Dynamos 0

Dynamos matched an excellent Halifax Irish team for sixty five minutes today. Halifax Irish scored the first goal from a corner kick just before half time but Dynamos didn’t let their heads drop and battled hard throughout the team with some great football and could have grabbed an equaliser when Tom Ireson was put through only to find the Halifax keeper in fine form to turn away his shot. The game was end to end from there but as Dynamos committed more players forward with five minutes left Halifax scored two late goals to seal the points.
Great performance today from all of the team with Tom Gallagher named as man of the match with an outstanding defensive performance at left back.
MOM Tom Gallagher.

23rd Jan 2011
Wakefield 1 3D Dynamos 7
Scorers: Tom Ireson 3, Sam Bagshaw 2, George Kilgour, Rylan Dickenson
3 D Dynamos bossed the game from the start with Harry Lavin and Rylan  dominant in midfield. Rylan scored first from a corner followed by Tom Ireson after being sent through with a great ball from Harry Lavin.
Wakefield hit Dynamos on the break just after half time but within minutes Sam Bagshaw scored two in succession to make the points safe for Dynamos. Tom Ireson added another two and George Kilgour one before the end of the game to complete an emphatic win for Dynamos.

MOM Harry Lavin who was dominant in Midfield  throughout the game.

League Match 16/1/11
3 D Dynamos 3  Barugh 1
Goals: Thomas McClusky, Thomas Osborne, Thomas Ireson
MOM: Harry Lavin and Thomas Osborne.

Dynamos went to the top of the division today with a gritty hard fought win against a big physical Barugh side who moved the ball about well and played some really good football. Dynamos played with the wind in the first half and Baggy brought a good save from the Barugh keeper in the first few minutes, George Kilgour worked hard up front and was a constant threat to the Barugh defence with Tom Ireson and Ben working hard down the flanks but it was Thomas McClusky who broke the deadlock with a powerful drive into the top corner of the Barugh net after the ball dropped to him from a corner kick. Thomas Osborne then added another from the penalty spot with a well taken spot kick giving the Barugh keeper no chance – Half time 2.0 to Dynamos.
The second half started with torrential horizontal rain and the boys had to dig deep to defend their lead and that’s exactly what they did. The players all put in a strong hard working performance - one which they can be very proud of. Thomas Osborne was commanding at the back along with Alex Carter and Harry Lavin and Macca defended well in the centre of midfield. Ben Ford and Tommy I protected the flanks and worked hard up and down the pitch  and Richard and Tommy G stood firm in the right and left full back positions. Barugh pushed everyone forward in the last five minutes and with two minutes to go brought the game back to 2.1 to force a grandstand finish but Dynamos battled on and with Barugh committed to attack Harry Lavin sent a great ball in to Tom Ireson in the last minute and Tom slammed the ball past the advancing keeper to make the points safe.
The pitch was soggy and slippy and didn’t suit some of the players but Dynamos showed a great team spirit today to take three important points in our drive to win the Division.
MOM – Hard to choose between Harry Lavin and Thomas Osborne who both battled hard for the full duration of the game and were very effective in keeping out Barugh in the second half of the game especially – So both awarded joint MOM – Well done guys.

Cup Match 9/1/11
Scholes 2    3 D Dynamos 3
Goals: Kilgour 2, Bagshaw
MOM Jack Churchill

Dynamos progressed to round 3 of the league cup with a good performance against a spirited Scholes team on a very large and very boggy pitch.
George Kilgour fired home the first into the bottom left hand corner of the goal and the Scholes keeper then made several good saves to thwart Baggy, Tommy I  and George. Scholes then equalised when the ball was played down the middle of the park and the pacey Scholes centre forward slotted his shot past 3d goalkeeper Jack Churchill.
Sam Bagshaw then dribbled through the massed Scholes defence and fired his shot into the bottom right of the goal to put Dynamos 2.1 up.
Again Dynamos pressed but the keeper was in inspired form, Scholes scored a last minute goal to force a grand stand finish but. Dynamos stood firm and saw out the rest of the game to progress to the next round.
A good hard working performance with Jack Churchill taking MOM with an excellent save at a key part of the game.

League 2nd Jan 2011 12.00pm K.O.

Lepton Highlanders U13A 0  3 D Dynamos U13P  8.
Goals: Tom McClusky, Dominic Kerrison, Tom Ireson (2), Ben Ford, Sam Bagshaw(3).
MOM – The team

Dynamos started the 2011 in fine style with an emphatic win to top the division at the expense of Lepton Highlanders at Shepley football ground.
The first ten minutes of the game saw some end to end action with some excellent defending from Tommy G, Richard Kiy, Alex Carter, and Harry Lavin but as the game progressed Dynamos stamped their authority on the game. Great work by Macca, Dominic, Ben and Tom I in midfield who tracked back and won the ball back whenever we lost possession and some great movement from George and Sam Kitchen up front to create several good chances to keep the Lepton keeper busy. It was Tom I who eventually broke the deadlock though with a trademark mazy run from the right slotting his shot to the keepers left to put Dynamos one up. Several good chances followed before Macca added to the tally when the ball dropped to him in the eighteen yard box and he drilled his shot into the top corner of the Lepton net to put the visitors two up at half time
The second half started in the same vein as it finished and it was the impressive Dominic Kerrison who put Dynamos three up with a strong run through the centre of the Lepton defence rounding the keeper to slot the ball into the empty net.
Dynamos ran riot from there with Ben Ford and Tom I attacking down the flanks, well supported by Tommy G and Richard Kiy who added to the Dynamos attacking threat, overlapping and sending in some great crosses which the Lepton defence struggled to keep out.
Dynamos soon added to the tally when a superb two touch ten pass move concluded with a twenty yard pass by Dom to pick out  great movement from Tom I and as Tom swept past two Lepton defenders and was just about to slide the ball past the advancing keeper he was brought down in the penalty box by a desperate challenge from the Lepton left back.
Baggy stepped up to take the penalty kick and slotted home to make it four nil to Dynamos.
Dynamos soon found themselves five up when a great ball from the hard working George Kilgour found Baggy who beat his marker and lobbed the keeper to make it five.
Ben was then rewarded for his outstanding performance on the left when the ball dropped to him in the eighteen yard box and he rifled his shot into the Lepton net to make it six nil.
Baggy made it seven when he latched on to a great through ball from Dominic and rounded the keeper to claim his hat trick before Tommy I grabbed his second and Dynamos eighth when Lepton failed to clear and Tom lashed his shot into the top of the net.
Great performance all round today guys so man of the match to the team -  and thanks to Baggy and Sam Kitchen for agreeing to play goalkeeper for the first and second half respectively.

Cup game 14th Nov 2010

3D Dynamos U13P 6  Linthwaite B 0
Goals: George Kilgour 3, Sam Kitchen 2, Sam Bagshaw
Dynamos played well again today with some great three touch pass and move football and the margin would have been a lot wider had we finished all of our chances.
The first was created by Sam Bagshaw with a neat through ball to George who intelligently dropped into the open space and started where he left off last week with a clinical finish.
Rylan mastered the second, again with a lovely weighted through ball which George took in his stride and poked into the bottom right hand corner of the goal.
Ben Ford caused the Linthwaite right back lots of problems with his skill and  pace and put some good crosses into the Linthwaite box which we didn’t quite manage to get on the end of and from there we went close several times without finding the net before the end of the first half.
H.T 3D Dynamos 2 Linthwaite 0
Dynamos continued to dominate the play in the second half and it wasn’t long before Sam Bagshaw threaded another pass through  to  George, after a neat exchange with Richard Kiy and George finished superbly to complete his hat trick. The next goal came when Sam Kitchen collected the ball on the left hand side, played a neat one two with Ben Ford and then shot accurately into the top right corner of the Linthwaite goal – great finish. It was all Dynamos from there with Rylan dominating the midfield area and Tom Ireson working hard on the right. Rylan then found George with another defence splitting pass which the keeper could only parry his  shot and Sam Bagshaw nipped in to score from the rebound. Sam Kitchen wrapped up the scoring when the ball broke loose from a corner kick and Sam Kitchen reacted the quickest to place the ball past the Linthwaite keeper.
A good performance again boys – We played some great football again on a very sticky surface and all worked hard until the end.
Some great performances all round today but Rylan was chosen for man of the match for his unselfish work in the middle of the park.

MOM Rylan Dickenson

7/11/2010
Ossett Albion U13  0   3 D Dynamos U13P  12
Goals: George Kilgour 6, Tom Ireson 2, Sam Bagshaw 2, Richard Kiy, Sam Kitchen

After a lacklustre performance last week  all of the players responded well.
Dynamos reshaped the team with George  and  Rylan playing up front , Richard and  Sam Bagshaw centre mid with Ben Ford and Tom Ireson left and right mid - Joe, Alex, Harry and Tommy G in defence - Will in goal. Sam Kitchen and Brad Mac were on the bench.
Dynamos moved the ball around quickly and accurately and played some excellent two touch football and within five minutes it paid off when  Rylan slipped a pass through to George Kilgour  who finished well from seven yards out. Tom Ireson was lively on the right of midfield and on seven minutes he interchanged well with Richard and  threaded a nice ball through to George who controlled well, turned his man and placed the ball into bottom left corner of the goal. George grabbed his hat trick within twelve minutes of the start after a fine through ball from Richard Kiy before Richard himself hit the fourth with a twenty yard screamer into the top corner of the Ossett goal.
George added to his already impressive tally when Sam Bagshaw was put through by Rylan and he slipped the ball through to George who neatly tucked the ball into the corner of the goal. George then scored his fifth when Tom Ireson skilfully beat his man on the right and sent a fine cross in for George to rifle in for his fifth.

Half Time Ossett 0 Dynamos 6.
Sam Kitchen came off the bench to give Richard a well deserved break and Brad Mac came on for Tommy G who put himself about in the first half . Ossett put up more of a fight in the first ten minutes of the second half but Dynamos defended as a team today and all players played their part in winning back possession when required. Dynamos found the net again when Tom I slipped a ball in to Sam Bagshaw whose initial shot hit the post, and bounce back for him to slide the ball past the approaching keeper. Tom I then got himself on the score sheet with a typical mazy run after another great interchange with George and Rylan, slotting past the advancing Ossett keeper.
Richard came back on for Joe and Tommy G came back on at left midfield and did everything to try to get on the scoresheet (after several near misses in other games throughout the season)  - with the team, coaches and supporters willing him to score at every opportunity.  Chance came for Tom when he stepped up to take a free kick outside the 18 yard box but it wasn’t to be with his powerful strike skimmed the left post.
Tom Ireson added another with a neat header from Sam Bagshaw’s  corner kick and when Rylans’ long range shot hit the post  and rolled along the line, Sam Kitchen was quickest to react to poke the ball across the line.  Dynamos were flying and so were the tackles from a frustrated Ossett team and when Rylan had his feet taken from underneath him for the third time Sam Bagshaw latched on to the loose ball and hit a long range shot into the top right hand corner before the ref had chance to put his whistle to his mouth to blow for the foul.  George rounded off a superb performance by netting the twelfth and his sixth when a nice interchange between Sam B and Tom I put him in on goal.
Well done to all today guys – The opposition were not great but Dynamos continued to keep a good shape and play excellent football for the duration of the game and the effort didn’t falter at any time.
Man of the match went to George Kilgour – Not just for the six goals but for his all round footballing performance.

League 31st Oct
3D Dynamos 0 Halifax Irish 4

Dynamos started well against the division leaders and Ben Ford was put through by George and Tom Ireson early on but his efforts went agonisingly wide. Tom Ireson then threaded a ball to Sam Bagshaw whose shot was tipped onto the post and cleared to safety by a Halifax defender. Then after weathering the storm in the first fifteen minutes Halifax gradually got on top of the game and had a couple of decent chances before finding the first goal five minutes before half time. A second was soon added when Dynamos lost possession in midfield and the Halifax captain hammered home a twenty yarder to put the visitors two up.
Dynamos couldn’t get back into the game in the second half and Halifax went on to add two more well taken goals to see off any hopes of a comeback.
Halifax Irish passed the ball well, competed well and deserved their win but it was a disappointing display by some of the Dynamos team today who didn’t work hard enough to deserve anything at all out of the game.
MOM Joe Millward with a determined performance at right back.

24TH Oct League
Howden Clough U13  5  v 3D Dynamos U13P 7
Goals: Sam Kitchen 3, Ben Ford, Tom Ireson, Brad McEvoy, Sam Bagshaw.
MOM Sam Kitchen.

With George, Richard and Alex away on holiday and Jack still absent with a broken ankle Dynamos were a depleted force again today. Sam Kitchen and Luke Midgely came in from U13PK team to help us through the holiday weekend and Sam Bagshaw was back with his first game in 4 weeks following an elbow injury.
Dynamos started well though and could have been ten up before the break with chances going begging. Brad McEvoy opened the scoring from a corner kick, glancing his header into the bottom corner and then Ben Ford slipped past the Howden right back and slotted the ball home to put Dynamos two up. Sam Bagshaw hit the post with a long range effort before Sam Kitchen latched on to a neat through ball from Rylan and steered his accurate shot past the Howden keeper. Dynamos looked unstoppable from there with Tom Ireson, Rylan Sam Bagshaw and Luke dominant in midfield. Lots more chances followed but Dynamos failed to capitalise. However just before half time Howden somehow found a goal completely against the run of play 3.1 to Dynamos at the break.
The second half was a complete turnaround and while Dynamos stopped moving the ball around and running for each other , three long balls through to the Howden centre forward – resulted in three goals - 4.3 to Howden. Then with fifteen minutes to go Dynamos with heads down conceded another poor goal which looked to put the game beyond them at 5.3 to Howden Clough.
Dynamos picked up the pieces though and Sam Kitchen gave Dynamos hope with another great first touch and excellent finish within five minutes of being reintroduced onto the pitch and then from a Sam Bagshaw corner Tommy G’s header fell to Tom Ireson who rifled in the equaliser. Sam Bagshaw hit the post again and Ben Ford and Tom Ireson put in some dangerous crosses which were scrambled away by the Howden defence. Then Rylan produced another quality ball for Sam Kitchen who showed another great  first touch and  finish to complete his hat trick 6.5 to Dynamos.
Dynamos finished the game off when Rylan again produced another clinical through ball for Sam Bagshaw to grab the seventh and put the game beyond  Howden.
The man of the match chosen by the coaches and voted unanimously by the 3D players went to Sam Kitchen for three great first touches and three excellent finishes to give Dynamos the points. Sam proved to the coaches and all of the players today that he is capable of not only securing a regular place in this team but with more self belief (which his technical ability certainly justifies) can become the clinical centre forward that we have been searching for. Well done Sam.
Thanks also to Jack Churchill who turned up with his ankle in plaster to cheer on the boys.
Lessons to be learnt from this for all of the team – Lets keep playing football, moving the ball and working for each other for the whole of the seventy minutes to get the results that we are capable of to gain promotion to the first division.

17th Oct League
3D Dynamos U13P 3 Wakefield U13 6
Goals: Sam Kitchen, George Kilgour, Ben Ford.

A depleted Dynamos again today with Jack Churchill and Sam Bagshaw missing through injury, Alex on holiday and Richard playing with a bad ear infection. In comparison Wakefield were up for it today as their manager put it, as it was the first time that they had managed to put out a full squad after playing the previous four games with nine and ten men apparently.
Wakefield scored first before Dynamos found an equaliser when Tom Ireson and George linked well before crossing to the far post for Ben to stroke home. Dynamos went one up when George was put through by Rylan and the game looked quite comfortable at that stage. Dynamos switched off for ten minutes though in the second half and Wakefield gained the advantage with two well taken goals to put them 3.2 up.
Sam Kitchen sent on as substitute for his home debut equalised with his second touch of the game before bringing an outstanding save from the keeper. Dynamos conceded three more weak goals though after midfield and defence had switched off completely to end any chance of a comeback.
Three dropped points today guys against a team that have lost every previous game by a large margin. We didn’t work hard enough for each other and paid the price.
MOM George Kilgour with a typical hard working display.

Battyeford 1 – 3D Dynamos 4
Goals: Tom Ireson, Harry Lavin, Ben Ford, Luke Midgeley

Another good performance from a depleted 3D's team kept up our strong start to the season. Missing 4 players 3D's were down to a bare 11 players but ultimately proved too strong for a spirited Battyeford side.
3D's started slowly giving the Battyeford players too much time on the ball and weren't strong enough with their passing which put us under pressure for the first 10 minutes. We then clicked into gear and started moving the ball around very well. We attacked down the wings with Ben Ford on the left and George Kilgour on the right having great success and creating pressure in the Battyeford area but we couldn't convert. It took a great strike from just inside the box by Tom Ireson to settle the nerves and give us a fully deserved lead after a period of sustained pressure. The continued pressure told again when Harry Lavin latched on to a ball in a similar position and smashed it past the keeper to put us 2 up. 3D's continued to press for the rest of the half playing some great football and bringing a couple of superb saves from the Battyeford keeper. As the parents started to get the half time drinks ready and the coaches were planning the half time “keep it going as we are” speeches, disaster struck. A loose ball outside the 3D's box was picked up by the Battyeford player and his high looping shot sailed over Williams head giving him no chance and all of a sudden as the half time whistle blew it was game on!
Half Time 1 - 2
3D's again started the half slowly allowing a now buoyant Battyeford team to build some pressure in the 3D's half. This is where the character of the team stood out as even though we were under pressure and not at our most fluent we defended as a team and didn't allow a clear shot at goal. Alex Carter's reading of the game and positioning was particular evident during this period where he always seemed to be on hand to snuff out the attacks as they were building. Just as in the first half we found our rhythm and started to boss the game again. The pressure eventually told when Ben Ford got his foot to the ball and steered it past the keeper after a goalmouth scramble. That was the goal we needed to lift us to go on and finish the game. The fourth goal came not long after when Luke Midgeley turned with a bouncing ball and lobbed the keeper for a very cool and composed finish. Although Battyeford continued to press it was 3D's who finished the game strongest and Tommy G was unlucky not to break his duck when his curling shot hit the inside of the post and bounced agonisingly across the goal and out to safety.
Full Time 1 – 4

Man of the Match
            Ben Ford
– looked dangerous every time he had the ball and was on hand to get the 3rd    goal and give us the breathing space we need at the time

Great team performance today where everybody played their part. George and Alex ran Ben very close for the MOM. As well as solid goalkeeping, Williams quick distribution turning defence into attack was great to see. The back 4 of Joe, Alex, Brad and Tommy G played well as a unit, particualrly when the pressure was on. The midfield 4 of George, Tom, Harry and Ben worked tirelessly in both attack and defence with no shortage of skill on display. Richard and Luke linked in well with the midfield and caused the Battyeford defence plenty of problems along the way. Well done lads, lets keep it going!

League
Barugh 4 3D Dynamos 2
Goals: Tom Ireson, George Kilgour
Driving rain, a slippy pitch players out with injuries  but Dynamos played really well on the day despite not making the most of some good chances which could have won the game. Some great play in Midfield with Harry Lavin, in great form again turning defence into attack with his excellent ball winning and distribution and Tom Ireson was dominant in the attacking role. We gave an early goal away after dominating the play for ten minutes but hit back strongly with George Kilgour winning the ball on the left and driving it into the bottom corner of the Barugh net. With the score 1.1 at half time Dynamos coasted into a 2 -1 lead when Tom Ireson beat his man and drove his shot into the bottom left hand corner of the Barugh goal. Dynamos pressed strongly from there and had numerous good chances to seal the game but good fortune favoured Barugh and the score remained 2.1. With six minutes to go Barugh, with a rare forage forward won a corner and as the ball was crossed in the Barugh centre forward pushed Bradley in the back with two hands sending him flying into the mud while he smashed the loose ball into the 3D net. Can’t complain about the  Barugh ref though who had a really good game but didn’t clearly see the offence - 2.2 and game on. The goal lifted Barugh and deflated Dynamos and consequently two late smash and grab goals saw Dynamos lose a game that they controlled for 60 minutes of the 70 and they should have come away with all three points. However we will all have learnt from this game and look forward to the next.  All credit to Barugh players though for their never say die and fair attitude and to their parents and coaches who contributed to make this a great day out and an excellent example of what junior football should be about.

MOM Alex Carter – A masterful display in defence.

League
Hepworth United 2   3D Dynamos 6
Goals: Sam Bagshaw 3, Jack Churchill 2, Rylan Dickenson

Dynamos started where they left off this week with a determined approach to the game. Facing a strong wind in the first half the boys defended well and retained possession well. The first goal came from good work from Jack in midfield who won possession in the centre of midfield, continued with a good interchange with Rylan before finding Sam on the left. Sam wriggled between two defenders and brought a good save from the Hepworth keeper but the keeper could only parry the shot and the ball dropped back to Sam who stroked it into the Hepworth goal. It was tough for Dynamos at times against the wind and Hepworth played it to their advantage bringing two great saves from William who was solid again in the 3D goal.
Dynamos looked good going forward and Rylan and Jack again combined on the left to feed Sam whose long range shot crashed against the Hepworth bar and minutes later Ben Ford brought a good save from the Hepworth keeper after a great through ball from Rylan.
Tom Ireson gave the Hepworth midfield a torrid time with some skilful and energetic runs creating some good chances for Ben Ford who again brought a couple of good saves from the Hepworth keeper. It wasn’t long before Dynamos doubled their advantage though when Tom I again regained possession in midfield and sent a good ball in to Ben Ford . Ben intelligently played the ball back to Rylan on the edge of the 18 yard box and he looped a great shot over the helpless Hepworth keeper.
HT 0-2
Dynamos started the second half slowly and Hepworth pushed forward and within five minutes brought the game back to 2.1 when the number 8 broke through and rounded William to stroke the ball into an empty goal. Hepworth pushed on again from the kick off and William Wilson again was called into action making  three excellent saves before Dynamos midfield regained their determination to win the ball in the middle of the park. It was Jack Churchill who eased the nerves with a good finish to the Hepworth keepers left, again after good work from Tom Ireson and Rylan. The game was put beyond Hepworth when Sam Bagshaw added two and Jack one with Hepworth scoring another consolation in between.
The game wasn’t quite over though and there was just enough time to witness another show of determination and outstanding skill from Tom Ireson when he won possession on the right of midfield, beat three Hepworth players and brought an outstanding save from the Hepworth keeper to bring the game to a close.
FT 2-6

Joint Man of the match went to:

  1.  Tom Ireson today who showed everything that is required in midfield – determination, strength, a great will to win and outstanding skill on the ball.
  2.  William Wilson who made some outstanding saves to keep the advantage with Dynamos at critical stages of the game.

A good performances  from all players with some good defending when required from Joe Millward, Alex Carter, Rich Kye, Harry Lavin and Tommy G.
We look really good going forward and retain good possession but If there is one point for the   forward and midfield players to look to improve, it is the need to react more quickly and with more desire and determination to win back the ball when we lose possession to the opposing side.

12th September 2010
3D Dynamos U13P  6  Honley AFC 4.
Scorers: Sam Bagshaw 3, Rylan Dickenson 2, Richard Kye
.

A thrilling game for the neutral at Moorside today. Dynamos looked really good from the start with Rylan Dickenson dominating the play in an attacking midfield role and it wasn’t long before Dynamos took the lead when Rylan neatly headed  home from a Sam Bagshaw corner and then five minutes later Rylan added another with a well struck 18 yard drive into the roof of the Honley net after some good interplay with Tom Ireson and Jack Churchill. Honley came back hard at Dynamos though and forced three excellent saves from William Wilson in the 3D goal  before Richard Kye’s persistence put the Honley left back under pressure and when he failed to clear Rich slid the ball into the right corner of the Honley net to put Dynamos 3.0 up. There were chances at both ends from there and with two minutes to go to half time a neat through ball from midfield found a Honley player who stroked the ball into the right hand corner of the Dynamos net.

HT 3 -1
Dynamos defence had to work hard in the second half with Kit Gardner for Honley causing all sorts of problems with his accurate corner kicks and crosses but Harry Lavin and Alex Carter did well in  central defence for Dynamos with some decisive tackles and clearances. The pressure finally told though when a long corner found a Honley player at the far post who headed in to take the game to 3.2 . It was game on from there but Dynamos restored a two goal lead when Tom Gallagher won another tackle in the left back position and slid a great pass in to Sam Bagshaw who skipped past his marker and sent in a strong low cross which was deflected into the net by one of the Honley defenders – 4-2.
Honley came back again though and when the referee awarded a free kick on the edge of the Dynamos box, Kit Gardner stepped up for Honley to smash it  into the top corner of the 3D goal – 4-3 and game on again.
Dynamos restored the two goal margin  again though with ten minutes left  after good work from Jack Churchill found Sam who rifled his shot into the top right hand corner.
Incredibly Honley came back again to make it 5-4  with another thunderbolt from Kit Gardner from outside the 18 yard box to set up a grandstand finish.
Dynamos dug deep again though - Joe Millward and Tom Ireson worked their socks off with some good defending and midfield play to keep the advantage with Dynamos before Tom slid through to Sam Bagshaw who wrapped up the points with a shot into the roof of the Honley net.
FT 6-4
Great performance all round today with man of the match going to all of the Dynamos team.
Mom for Honley Kit Gardner.
A special mention also to the Honley team, manager and spectators who played their part in a good spirited junior game of football.
