3D Dynamos 3-0 HAFC
Scorers: Jack Churchill, Charlie Maslen, Joe Connolly

3D’s went into the Easter break on the back another convincing win following the midweek game.
It took us 15 minutes or so to find our feet with Jack Churchill forcing a good save but with minutes he had his goal heading in a great corner from Remi. Jack McKie was forced to come off his line and block a one on one in a rare HAFC attack but the defence coped really well all match.
Joe also went close before half time but in the second half we were always on top and some great passing moves led to first Joe then Charlie finishing off the match.
Another good all round performance, MOM Bradley Cruse for a confident display at the back.

3D Dynamos 2-0 Westend
Scorers: Sam Povey, Jordan Booth

3D’s returned to winning ways with an excellent performance against Westend and played at a really good pace.

We set off on the front foot and put Westend under pressure from the start and the whole team worked as well without the ball as with it closing down all over the pitch. Remi fired in some excellent corners and it was inevitable that one would lead to a goal with Sam eventually firing in to give us the lead. A slick move with Ellis and Luke then put Jordan through to finish well.

We couldn’t get another as our performance deserved but the only time the excellent defence let Westend have space in our box Jack got down to make a great save. Luke and Jordan were excellent up front and set a good tempo with their running.

Jack got the man of the match, run very close by Luke, Jordan and Remi, Aaron and Tommy G in a very pleasing team performance.

3D Dynamos 0-2 YMCA

Our little mini slump continued but we created enough chances to win 2 or 3 games but again shows the standard of this division if you don’t take your chances you can come away with nothing but again can’t complain about the performance, just a bit more confidence and composure in the opposition penalty box and we will play worse and win.
Just as our poor run at the beginning of the season the performances are good so keep the chins up and play as we are and the wins will come!

MOM: joint award for Jordan and Aaron

27th March 2011

Howden Clough 3-2 3D Dynamos
Scorers: Remi Morris, Charlie Maslin

A makeshift side made the early morning trek to Batley but will still be disappointed with not getting something from a game where despite all the changes with 5 lads missing we did play well on a bumpy pitch.
We made the worst possible start by conceding in the first 30 seconds by not dealing with a speculative punt but responded well and got a deserved equaliser through a clinical finish from Remi before conceding through a penalty which unfortunately struck an arm seconds before half time.
Having a bare 11 and no subs took its toll and we did tire in the second half and went further behind to a great strike before mounting a stirring come back with a brilliant solo effort from Charlie it was too late in the day to get an equaliser.
Again pleased with the team spirit showed by the lads and did play some nice stuff in patches under the circumstances.

3D Dynamos 3-1 Almondbury Lions
Scorers: Joe Connolly 2, Aaron Rogers

3D’s put the disappointment of last weeks semi final loss by responding with a great win against top of the table Almondbury Lions.
We set off out of the blocks really well and within minutes Joe raced through and lobbed the keeper. In a well fought first half Almonbury equalised after a free kick wasn’t cleared away and the rebound was scrambled away.
We started the second half as the first and were rewarded when Aaron cut in from the wing and finished the run calmly slotting home. Again Almondbury responded from a free kick but Jack McKie made an excellent save from which a great counter attack led to James Mounsey firing into the side netting from a narrow angle.
We weren’t to be denied though as Joe broke one and one and rounded the keeper before firing in to kill the game off.
Great win

13/3/11 League Cup Semi-Final
3D Dynamos 1-2 Halifax Irish
Scorers: James Mounsey

3D’s came within a whisker of reaching the final in a well contested semi-final but lost out to a late goal after missing a couple of good chances against a good Halifax team. The game ebbed and flowed with both teams having good periods but we let in a soft goal when we were slow to react to a second ball at a corner. Tom, Joe and Dom all had chances but couldn’t convert. We started the second half brightly and got a deserved equaliser when James collected a clearance from our corner to fire in a great shot.
We then had our best period of the game and two great chances. The first a good  move led to Dom firing agonisingly over and a few minutes later we carved open Halifax’s defence only for the keeper to make a fantastic save from Joe when the ball looked certain to nestle in the bottom corner. This proved the turning point as the game stretched out and both teams tired and from a free kick a fantastic strike from Halifax settled the game.
A great effort from the lads and a bit unlucky as whoever got the second goal was going to win this game with two well matched teams.
We need to put the disappointment behind us and concentrate on winning as many league matches now as possible to continue the good run we have been on.

League cup quarter final
3D Dynamos 2-0 Hafc
Scorers: James Mounsey, Joe Connolly

3D’s progressed to the semi finals after a tense and close fought game. We didn’t quite play as well as recent matches but credit to HAFC who pushed us all the way.
In a tight first half Remi fired a great shot which was well saved and in a half of few chances Jack came out well and forced the HAFC striker to shoot wide when in on goal.
The game opened up a bit more in the second half and we had a few half chances and then Dom looked destined to score after a storming run only to be thwarted by a great one handed save. Yet with 10 minutes to go James Mounsey finally found the killer touch to finish smartly and put us in the lead. The defence was again excellent and snuffed out HAFC and with a few minutes to go joe put the tie beyond doubt when he burst through and slotted home.
Again the work rate was excellent and the lads dug in today and worked hard for each other, great effort and keep it up!

Linthwaite 1-4 3D Dynamos
Scorers: Joe Connolly 2, Ellis Forshaw, Sam Bagshaw

Another terrific team performance and the score is a good reflection on the game and this after conceding an early goal when one of the few times we didn’t play the ball out into the right areas we were punished by a strike that gave Jack no chance. We had started well and were on top with joe and James going close before Aaron headed onto the post. We weren’t to be denied though as a few minutes later Ellis fired home a great volley for the equaliser. Jack was then alert to make a good one on one save before making another fine save where the defence showed great alertness by closing down the rebound. Joe then raced clear to fire us into a deserved lead and we had a couple of other chances before Baggy fired in the third just before half time.
James Hey and Tom Nuttall both had storming games in the middle and the defence again were really strong in the second half and we never let Linthwaite get back into it in a very disciplined performance. Joe, James and Luke were causing problems up front and a clear cut penalty was despatched by Joe to make it 4-1. Jack made another fine save later on and we saw the match out to bring an excellent and well earned 3 points back.

MOM Aaron but a very tough decision as it could have been anyone from 13 in a brilliant team effort

North Gawber 0-1 3D Dynamos
Scorers: Will Cotton

A superb team performance at North Gawber and a thoroughly deserved win which shows the improvement from our early season struggles when we lost the home fixture. 3D’s started brightly and created some early chances which were either wasted or found a very good keeper who managed to pull off a quite unbelievable save from Dom. We were then astounded not to get a penalty when Aaron was upended in the box and were disappointed to be so dominant and come in at half time 0-0.
North Gawber were better in a more even second half but again it was 3D’s creating the chances and playing some good passing football and eventually our efforts were rewarded when Joe crossed for Will to show the strikers how its done and slot home.
The defence of Ellis, Brad, Charlie and James H were superb all day and the only time North Gawber got through Jack raced out to make a fantastic save.
Joe again went close but everyone worked hard to ensure we saw out the game and bring a well deserved 3 points home.
Best performance and result of the season so far. Onwards and upwards

24/1/11 U13 League Cup
Barugh 0-2 3D Dynamos A
Scorers: Joe Connolly, Dom Kerrison

A full bloodied game and the lads stood up well to some robust challenges and turned in a great performance on a sticky pitch to progress to the 3rd round of the cup. We set off well with Joe going close before racing clear to round the keeper to put us 1 up. He nearly had a repeat minutes later but Barughs keeper saved well. Barugh then had a really good spell forcing Jack to make a good 1 on 1 save before they hit the woodwork 3 times!
We defended well and began to take control of the game again in the second half which led a few late challenges and to an altercation poorly handled by the referee where Barugh were fortunate not to have a player sent off but the lads settled down quickly and carried on where they left off and got a deserved second.
Great handling from Jack in nets and a good defensive performance saw us through comfortably in the last 15 minutes.
MOM Jack McKie

17/1/11
3D Dynamos 5-2 Brighouse
Scorers: C. Maslen 2, Luke Cornforth 2, Joe Connolly
Our first game for 2 months and a comfortable win against an under strength Brighouse.
Just stopped concentrating when 4-0 up to let Brighouse back in it but a good showing after the enforced weather break

MOM Charlie Maslen

3D Dynamos 0-6 North Gawber

Even with having players missing again and a bare 11 the first half was possibly the worst we have played at 11 a side and we got what we deserved being 5-0 down at half time. The turn round in attitude and in the second half was just what was asked for. We had chances to score and only conceded 1 goal when due to injury and illness we had large spells in the second half with only 9 men on the pitch showed the spirit we need this season.
Great performances from James Forde and Charlie Maslen and a better second half from the rest!

10/10/10
Westend 4-3 3D Dynamos
Scorers: C.Maslen 2, Joe Connolly 1

A great team effort and performance that certainly deserved more. After a shocking opening 8 minutes which saw us 2-0 dow we went on the play some great football and dominate the game against last seasons champions and were deservedly 3-2 up at half time. We continued to press and missed some great opportunities to kill off the game and once again lady luck deserted us when a breakaway goal led to an ill deserved equaliser for westend in the last few minutes which was then compounded by a very poor decision that gave Westend a last minute penalty. This was then saved by Jack only to see the rebound go in. As in the 3 games we have lost so far this season we have played really well and deserved something out of the games and have more than matched the teams we have lost to in every department but finishing and the rub of the green!
Keep it up as if we carry playing this well the results will come.

03/10/10

Brighouse 1-9 3D Dynamos

A fantastic second half performance blew Brighouse away. As well as we have played since moving to 11 a side, defended well when we needed to and many good performances especially Charlie, Dom and James Mounsey

HAFC 4-0 3D Dynamos

A game we could easily have won 4-0. We played well again but just couldn’t find the killer touch, disallowed goals, clearances off the line, great saves but a lesson in finishing from HAFC who ran out comfortable winners in the end but this was a very winnable game if we had put away our early chances. Cannot complain about the performance on the whole as it would have been disappointing to lose this 1-0 on the performance!

3D Dynamos 1-5 Linthwaite

A closer game than the score would suggest as we defended well under some pressure in the first half only for Linthwaite to score 2 very fortunate goals late in the half. We set off really well in the second half pulling a goal back when James Mounsey scored with a great finish and were then thwarted by two great saves which cost us as Linthwaite weathered the storm to break and score a third which knocked the stuffing out of us and we conceded two further soft goals.
