3D DYNAMOS Football Club are in line for a prestigious honour.

Boasting 15 teams at junior and open age level, they have been nominated for the FA national charter standard adult club of the year award.

Formed in 1992, Dynamos qualified for the domestic prize after being named adult club of the year in the north-west and Manchester County FA regions.

In a season of undoubted success, they were also Manchester County FA’s youth club of the year.

One of the club’s founders, secretary Val Broadbent, said: “To receive this kind of recognition is a tremendous achievement for 3Ds.

“It’s a team effort, from the children through to the helpers and committee, everyone plays their part.

“We are just about to enter our 15th season, and we’ll be starting a girls under-10s team for the first time in October.”
